Stefano’s Team

Regular readers of this blog will be familiar with my Interista amico Stefano Virgili. But for anyone else reading this, allow me to recap.

Stefano is a mad Inter fan who wasn’t satisfied with simply following his team from afar, so he created his own Inter in the Far North town of Kaeo – Kaeo Inter.

Stefano’s team plays in NFF’s Northland Division One, and I have seen them in action twice. Once when I road tripped up to witness their fierce local derby with Kerikeri and again just a few short weeks ago when I caught a post-season friendly at Waiheke United.

In that first piece I linked to a Radio NZ piece about a short documentary that was made about Stefano and his passion for football a few years ago. Ever since I heard about it, I wanted to watch it but I didn’t realise it was available online until another friend linked to it on Facebook yesterday!

In celebration of getting to see it at last, I thought it would be worth sharing it here as well.

It’s a great watch, and also serves as a great appetiser for my next adventure with Stefano, which is coming soon to an ITBOTN near you…

So without any further ado, I give you Stefano’s Team! (And keep an eye out for a show stopping guest appearance from a kunekune whose name happens to be Totti)
