A united voice for peace

There are children in this world who can only dream of a life of peace and freedom.

The entire population of Gaza, Palestine, are being denied basic human rights. Children in Gaza are forced to live in what the British Prime Minister calls ‘an open-air prison’ under a constant threat of attack and are without adequate food or water.

Nuseirat is one of the biggest refugee camps in Gaza, and the home to over 85,000 refugees. Al-Ahli Sports Club is the only football club in Nuseirat. Last year, two Manukau City AFC representatives visited the Al-Ahli Sports Club to enter into a friendship agreement.

The Al-Ahli football club has one small grass pitch (about the size of two 18 yard boxes) to meet the needs of its 1000+ members, who are almost all children. Their clubroom facility has been bombed three times in recent Israeli airstrikes and is now only a third of its original size.

With your support, we can help to re-build the Al-Ahli football club for the children of Nuseirat.

Football for Freedom will join the voice of footballers around the globe, united in the fight for peace in Palestine. Christiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba, Eric Cantona and Frederic Kanoute are a few football greats who represent thousands around the world promoting peace and freedom through our ‘beautiful game’. The Football for Freedom 7-a-side tournament is one way we can express our solidarity and send a strong message of hope and peace to the children in Palestine.

What can you do?

Support peace in Palestine and enter a team in the Football for Freedom’s 7-a-side fundraiser tournament, or donate now to the cause. 100% of money raised will go to the Al-Ahli Sports Club in Nuiserat, Gaza, promoting freedom through football.
